The Launch of the Shanghai F1 Circuit
(6th and 7th June 2004)

With Jessie I travelled to Shanghai for the celebrations to mark the opening of the new F1 circuit. These began with a parade of over 50 Ferrari road cars through the streets of Shanghai, along the famous Bund, and to the new Ferrari-Maserati showroom

Jessie is impressed by the view from the wing-shaped structure nine storeys above the start-finish straight.

These cabins, surrounded by fish ponds, will be used by the F1 team personnel at the Grand Prix in September.

Gerhard Berger was on hand to drive a Ferrari GA2003 and give me some tips about the track.

Shanghai's foremost racing driver, Jiang Tengyi, demonstrated a Maserati Trofeo car.
