PICCA Rounds 6 & 7 - Beijing Goldenport,
China
(14-15th June 2004)
Victory!
It will be difficult to repeat the degree of success we enjoyed in Beijing. On track the results were simple: fastest time in three of the four practice sessions; pole-position by a half-a-second; victory in the first race by nine seconds - and fastest lap; then a second lights-to-flag win.
The event was heavily used by Uni-President to enhance the image of the A-Ha coffee brand with employees, business partners, and the media. Over 100 guests visited the Goldenport circuit on each of Saturday and Sunday. They were entertained in a hospitality unit on the roof of the pit building.
A-Ha Racing is now second in the Carrera Cup points standings - three points behind the Thai driver C. Nattavude. The next race is at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on September 26th.
