Just 11 hours after arriving back in Hong Kong from Bahrain, Matthew flew to London to test at Thruxton for this weekend's opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain.

The short two-hour session started wet and was twice halted due to crashing cars. Marsh survived the conditions but was disappointed with his 10th quickest time: "Of course I knew it would take some time to learn the circuit - and I know that the guys racing here are very serious - but nonetheless I hoped to show some more speed. The wet conditions and my lack of confidence in the circuit showed on the stopwatch."

Matthew returns to the circuit in Hampshire on Saturday for a 20 minute qualifying session and then on Sunday for two 20-minute races which will be shown live on Motors TV. "What I lack - against Charles Kwan and Nattavude in Asia - is experience of top-level competition. It's guaranteed that I will get some of that this weekend!"

Marsh will be driving the Porsche Cars GB entry, run by Parr Motorsport.
