Magny Cours Test
(17/18 March 2009)

FIRST RUN IN A PROTOTYPE

It's quick! The straightline speed is not much different to what I have become used to but the grip in the corners is VERY different. I experienced 2.8G in turn two at Magny Cours compared with a maximum of 1.5G in a Carrera Cup car!

One of the best things about driving a prototype is that my helmet is now visible - and with it the Bauhinia design on the top.

Here the KSM team manager Kai Kruse gives me some guidance on driving the Lola and managing the 520bhp provided by the turbocharged Mazda engine.

As at Daytona earlier this year the title sponsor is Flex-Box - the shipping container specialists. They will be bringing guests to the events.
